Who we are
Adoption Matters is a children’s charity and one of the largest, independent adoption agencies in the UK.
Founded in 1947, we are the ONLY adoption agency in the North West to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, four times in a row.
We have offices in Chester (HQ), Warrington, Salford, Hale, Blackburn and Leeds and our services cover the whole of the North West, parts of Wales, Yorkshire, Stoke, Staffordshire.
What we do
Through our partnership services run with Caritas Care, we offer innovative support and new approaches to adoption. At The Centre for Adoption Support we recruit, train and support adoptive families and offer on-going support to them for as long as they need it.
Our Concurrent Planning Service offers a new approach to adoption combining adoption and fostering, to offer babies and young children the best start in life.
