PEGS (Parental Education Growth Support) is a UK-based social enterprise supporting parents, carers and guardians experiencing Child to Parent Abuse (CPA), including those with adult children.

We provide safe, trauma-informed online spaces where parents are listened to, believed, and supported without judgement. Our services have been created to empower parental figures, increase understanding, and help families take next steps at their own pace.

We deliver a wide range of virtual support including daily practitioner-led sessions, peer support group, structured and co-developed programmes, a range of bespoke workshops, and one-to-one  support where available. Alongside this, PEGS provides specialist training to professionals across social care, education, policing, and third sector services to improve awareness, confidence, and responses to CPA.

We also work nationally to influence policy and practice, supporting organisations to recognise CPA within safeguarding frameworks and strengthen multi-agency responses.

Child to Parent Abuse is one of the most hidden and misunderstood forms of domestic abuse. It is estimated that at least 1 in 10 families are impacted, with experts suggesting this could equate to at least 3% of the UK households that are impacted. Despite this, awareness, understanding and consistent support pathways remain limited.

To date  PEGS has supported in excess of 14,000 parental figures and are the only organisation in the UK solely dedicated to supporting parental figures experiencing Child to Parent Abuse. Our work spans national and international media engagement, alongside hosting and delivering conferences, events, and professional learning opportunities to increase awareness and drive much needed change.

Importantly, all PEGS support services are free of charge. We believe that reaching out for support should never come at a cost especially for families who are experiencing abusive behaviours.

At the heart of PEGS, we’re committed to ensuring parents and carers feel seen, heard, and supported, and that no family has to navigate CPA alone.

Will you take the leap with us and help create change for families experiencing Child to Parent Abuse?
